The California Melody Boys is one of the West Coast's newest touing Southern Gospel artists. From it's inception in February of 2003, CMB has kept a steady schedule in various venues such as conventions, churches, and private events. All current members have been together since late in 2003 and all make their home in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California. Two members share similar ministries as music pastors in their respective churches and one is a licensed minister. All are musicians and song writers. New Group Manager: This announcement is way overdue. A few months back, due to busy times and schedules, CMB decided it was time to invite a Group Manager to help with booking and other important duties. Low and behold comes this wonderful angel and prayer warrior, our own Miss Rain Jones. She has fast become an important part of the CMB Ministry. In addition, she is on her own journey toward a solo ministry and her new CD is out this week. CMB and Rain Jones plan on touring together when the time is right. But in the meantime she has demonstrated her value in many ways and we're thankful God led her to our team. Please welcome her to the CMB team when you see her.
New Tenor: God's timing is the best of all and recently He led John Harness in a new direction. John is now in the ministry of raising three new grandchildren ages 9 months to 9 years. John is an honorary permanent member of CMB and will join them from time to time. Due to this sudden change in events, CMB has hired Robii Branson as an interim tenor singer. Robii Branson has an extensive background in CMB's style of music as he traveled with his family and another group in the South for many years. Robii's heart is in ministry and he can really hit the high notes! His father, Randy Branson was CMB's original baritone singer. Robii and his lovely wife, April, are surely welcome to the CMB team and all are praying for God's direction for final placement and commitment. Please join us in welcoming Robii and April Branson!
Addition of Piano Player: We are delighted to announce the addition of Ken Hurley as CMB's first piano player. Ken is a fantastic keyboard player who shares at his home church in Fresno, California and was also with the Gospelaires for many years. He also plays with the Chordsmen of Fresno. This begins a new chapter in CMB's sound and ministry. Ken adds a positive flavor to the groups presentation. It is evident that Ken is a man of God and CMB is blessed to have him as a part of the ministry! Please welcome Ken to the CMB team when you see him!
